Sport

When you see our membership fees, you will certainly agree that PSC offers the best value in central London. Club nights for Squash and Tennis are Fridays and Sundays from 6:00 PM. Prospective members are invited to try Club night once before they join to meet the Members and get a feel for the facilities.

The club also has a gym and offers fitness classes and beauty treatments.

Please see the events calendar for details of forthcoming tournaments.

Tennis

Paddington offers ten all-weather courts. Seven courts are surfaced in acrylic and three are artificial grass. Five courts have floodlights. The Club operates various leagues for all standards throughout the year, and from day one, even beginners can find an appropriate league. The Club also has six teams, which compete - and win - up to and including County standard. Additionally, the Tennis section operates a Club Ladder and the Tennis Committee arranges various tournaments throughout the year.

The Club holds its own internal tournament during the month of July each year. Juniors are catered for with an internal tournament and an external grand prix held at the Club the first week of Easter. The second week of September the Club holds its semi-professional competition as part of the British Tour.

Even if you just want to learn, PSC can accommodate this with a number of skilled and qualified coaches who can help you start off.

Squash

The section offers competition at all levels from beginner to county player, and the Club Coach will be only too happy to help with all aspects of your game.

We have three men’s teams playing in the Middlesex Leagues with some success this year. Our three teams: men’s, ladies’ and veterans’ (over 45), play in the Middlesex leagues. We are also considering forming a veterans and ladies team too in the forthcoming year.

You can participate in the year-round squash leagues or in any of the numerous club tournaments, including doubles and handicap events.

The Friday and Sunday night Club nights, which start at 17:45, are the best place to come along and see the standard and have a game before you join, you’ll find a very welcoming club with a variety of standards.

We have an excellent coach who has helped improve the game of some of our experienced players as well as introduce a number of new players to the game.

Bowls

All players are most welcome, from novices to seasoned veterans of all ages and experience. Year-round bowls is offered, either outside on our immaculate greens, or indoors in our fabulous indoor bowling facility which is unique in London. You will be joining one of the leading bowling clubs in the country, which has produced 25 national champions and 35 internationals over the years.

Even if you have never tried the game you can join in on one of the regular afternoon or evening ‘roll ups’ managed by the Members where they will show you the basics of the game and get you started – all you need is a flat pair of shoes!

The game is also popular with our many visitors who attend corporate and social events so if you were thinking of bringing some people to the club, why not think about taking them for a bowl? By prior arrangement, a bowls trainer can be provided if you feel that your group would benefit from this.
